Worship

We gather to praise God, to give thanks for God's everlasting goodness, steadfast love, amazing grace. We gather to hear the Word, to be filled anew with God's spirit, to remember God's forgiveness as we celebrate the Lord's Supper, to renew our passion for God's ministries in the name of Jesus Christ.

Eastwood's members participate in worship by attending, singing and praying. ECC members help lead worship by singing in the choir or children's choir, offering various gifts of music, reading scripture, preparing communion, preparing the worship space, serving communion, collecting offering, welcoming guests, and providing childcare.

Education

We study and discuss together to grow in our faith and understanding. ECC provides education from infancy through adulthood. Dedicated leaders/teachers are needed for all classes/programs. Educational opportunities include: Nursery (ages 0-3), Young Children's class (ages 3-K), 3D Program (grades 1-5), Youth (grades 6-12), Children's Worship (ages 4-6), Evening Youth groups (grades 6-12), Vacation Bible School, Adult Sunday School classes (5 options), and other exciting Bible studies for adults.

Fellowship & Membership Nurture

Fellowship ministries help develop relationships among people in the ECC family, providing friendships, supportive relationships, and an inter-generational extended family in a world where many people live in isolation. ECC fellowship ministries include: Wednesday evening dinners, luncheons after Sunday worship, youth groups, family nights, Disciples Women (CWF), Disciples Men, men's and women's softball teams, annual golf tournament, annual Bethany Hills picnic/retreat, semi-monthly newsletter (The Evangel), and visitation groups.

Service & Outreach

Outreach ministries offer various services to our neighbors in East Nashville and beyond. Through service ministries we attempt to bring joy, comfort, peace, and justice to our brothers and sisters. Major ECC outreach ministries include: Tying Nashville Together (TNT) - a coalition for justice; Cub Scouts - providing quality character enriching activities for young boys in East Nashville; Room in the Inn - providing food and shelter to Nashville's homeless; Habitat for Humanity - helping people transition to home ownership; East Nashville Cooperative Ministries (ENCM) - providing and clothing people in need; Heifer Project Gift Ark - providing animals for self-sufficiency around the world; and providing meeting space for various community organizations such as Narcotics Anonymous, the Eastwood Neighbors Association, and many more.
